Rilo Kiley Champagne (Melby)
Melby may be smaller in stature but is surely big in the ring. She is rhythmical in movement and eager in attitude towards work. Extended reach in the shoulder with uphill gaits. Standing 16 Hands tall, she is the perfect size for the amateur eager to impress and move up in the competition ring. Approved in 2024 as a KNN Outcross mare with excellent scores 9999 99 998 with an overall score of 9 (almost perfect 9)!

Melby's sire, Glamourdale, is an Olympic champion.
Glamourdale won Individual and Team Bronze at the 2024 Paris Olympics but that was hardly his first time in the spotlight. He was previously named Champion of his KWPN keuring, placed second at his Stallion Performance Test, and commandingly won the FEI World Championships for Young Horses. Seemingly unstoppable since their win of the Team Silver and Individual Gold Medal in the Special and the Freestyle at 2022 FEI World Championships, Glamourdale and Lottie have continued to bring home top ribbons and impressive scores as high as 92%.
Glamourdale’s sire, Lord Leatherdale, was Reserve Champion of his Stallion Performance Test and a successful FEI competitor; as well as a sire of Olympic medalist Everdale. His dam is full-sister to the approved stallion Numberto and has been an exceptional producer. Damsire Negro is proven choice for producing Grand Prix horses, including the Olympic Gold Medalist, World Cup Winner, and World Equestrian Games Gold Medalist, Valegro.

Glamourdale offspring have been selected for the World Breeding Championships for Young Horses, US National Young Horse Championships, PAVO Cup Finals, and many are now at the FEI levels. In the US, his offspring are winning USDF Breeders Series and Regional Championships and earning top Horse of the Year rankings. With power and scope to the movement, and a super character, Glamourdale offers the quality and name recognition dressage breeders are seeking.

Melby's dam sire, Blue Hors Romanov, was awarded the honorable award VTV Dressage Stallion 2008 which goes to young stallions that stand out remarkably in both sport and breeding. After having been highly dominant in the Young Horse Championships 2004, 2005, and 2006, Romanov took another step forward in 2007 and made his debut in small tour dressage and placed 2nd in Prix St. Georges and 4th in Intermediate. He went on to win the Intermediate at the World Cup qualifier in Odense and eventually made his debut in Grand Prix at the stallion licensing in Herning 2008 and won! He placed twice in Mediem Cup in Lingen at the Grand Prix series for horses under 10 years of age. Romanov was the runner-up stallion at the Oldenburg licensing in 2002. In Herning 2004 he was acclaimed 4-year-old Licensing Champion.

Melby has inherited all of the best qualities of her rockstar pedigree. She is just stunning in the riding ring, with impeccable confirmation and uphill gaits, combining the presence and athletic ability of all these top performers. An excellent example of the Olympians who came before her.
Five Filly Farm plans to pair Melby with one of our KNN registered Knabstrupper stallions in 2025 to bring these amazing qualities to the Knabstrupper breed and add a little color to the show ring.
