Waterbank Augustus
Imported in 2025, Five Filly Farm is excited to introduce Waterbank Augustus (Gus Gus)! Gus Gus is an impressive example of the Knabstrupper breed and its versatility across disciplines. Gus carries all 4 of the Knabstrupper historic bloodlines, Mi, Ma, SK and ZSAs. He was awarded ELITE at the British Breeding Futurities for show jumping and Reserve high score of the day at the British Futurity at Hartpury Colege in Gloucester. All the results from the British Breeding Futurities including the virtual ones have now been released for 2024 and out of 254 horses inspected across the UK for Dressage, show jumping and Eventing (covering foals to 3 year olds) Waterbank Augustus ranked 17th across all ages & disciplines and was the 3rd highest score for Showjumping across all ages!!! This is one rockstar colt!

Gus Gus will always produce a black or bay colored foal with white spots or blanket regardless of the color mare he is bred to. You will always get white patterning when bred to this amazing few spot stallion.

Born 5/5/2024, out of a 15.2H KNN graded purebred Knabstrupper of classic type. Waterbank Sirani by 16.2H KNN graded and performance tested Knabstrupper, Tresaison Ricochet who gained Best Performance Test and Best in Show at the 2013 UK KNN Gradings as a 4yr old ad went on to have many wins on the British show jumping circuit before being retired sound to stud.

Tresaison Ricochet is by Rubin Star N who competed at Grand Prix level dressage and was champion stallion at his performance test, he also achieved ELITE stallion status with SHBGB due to his progeny and continued success at international competition levels. Rubin Star N is by Rubenstein I who had 40 wins at Grand Prix level, was a member of the 1996 Olympic team, sired 89 state premium mares and 66 approved stallions. He was the sire of many top auction horses and Grand Prix winners. He sits on the dynasty of Dressage stallions that have become influential to amateurs and professionals competing at all levels.

On his Dam's side, Waterbank Sirani, a homozygous black snowcap, is by 16.2H Knabstrupper, Tornado af Knabstrup, who was graded and performance tested becoming the UK KNN Performance Champion in 2011. He was the sire of the leading Eventing Sports Pony in the British Breeding Futurities in 2014 and 2015, and ranked in the top 10 stallions for Eventing and No 1 Sports Pony Stallion for Eventing in the British Breeding Futurity of All Time Sire Rankings until it was discontinued in 2018. Her dam, Vile Aetsted, was Champion mare at the UK KNN gradings in 2005 and competed in the FEI World Para Dressage Championship.

His recent Elite award from the British Breeding Futurities proves he has the conformation and movement to excel but he also has the kind, willing temperament and the "look at me" attitude you want for a future star! Gus Gus is registered with the British Warmblood Society and the KNN.
Gus has inherited all of the best qualities of his historic pedigree. He is stunning in the riding ring, with impeccable confirmation and uphill gaits, combining the presence and athletic ability of all these top performers.
Five Filly Farm plans to offer Waterbank Augustus at stud in the 2027 or 2028 breeding season to bring these amazing qualities to the Knabstrupper breed in the US and add a little color to the show ring.
